  • Hillary G Mateev (Incumbent)

As a member of Reading since 2016, I have had the honor of serving as a Town Meeting Member for the last 4 years, and served on the Zoning Board of Appeals for part of that time. It has been my mission to listen to you and our fellow citizens, and do my part to make Reading the town it is today. I look forward to hearing from you soon, please feel free to reach out to me: hmateev.readingma@gmail.com

  • Genady Pilyavsky (Incumbent)

I have served on the Town Meeting since 2020, and as Chair in 2022. I am also a Member of the Climate Advisory Committee and the Chair of the Library Landscaping Committee. What I enjoy most about volunteering is the opportunity to connect with neighbors and use my analytical background to help achieve our community’s goals. My approach is to examine how the decisions we make will impact Reading in the near and far terms. I am always available and can be reached at genady.pilyavsky@gmail.com

  • Joy M Beaulieu

Life long resident of Massachusetts, and Reading resident for over a decade. I own and operate a small business in Reading for 17 years. I have two children attending our wonderful public schools. I want to keep Reading a safe and inclusive place not only for my children but for the community as a whole. With my unique perspective as a parent, business owner, and community member, I can help continue to move the town of Reading forward with our changing culture. I respectfully ask for your vote.

  • Joseph C Carnahan

I'm a Barrows dad who is lucky to be raising two kids here and wants to give back to our amazing community. I joined Town Meeting in 2018, Conservation in 2021, and am now a member of the Finance Committee. I love seeing how much neighbors accomplish when we put in the work to find solutions that benefit everyone.

At work, I manage a team of brilliant engineers, where the smart move is just to listen and then help them get what they need. I'd love to listen to you, too: joseph.carnahan@gmail.com

I grew up in Reading and want to continue making it a wonderful place to grow up. As a parent and a community member, I am committed to making Reading a better place to live, work, and raise a family. I want to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive community for everyone. I believe that our town needs to be fiscally responsible and think about the current and future. I look forward to working together to make Reading the best it can be.

  • Brian C Paulsen

I am a stay-at-home-dad of 4 kids and part-time podcast producer. Our town is divided and it is my goal to bring everyone together to make Reading the best it can be. We may not agree on every issue, but i will listen to all sides with an open mind. I am a Independant free thinker who only wants the best for this town and it's residents. I would be grateful for your vote to represent District 7.

  • Jayna S Stafford

I’m running for Town Meeting to give back to Reading. I grew up in a military family and moved here in 2004 before our son entered K. He is a RMHS grad. Our daughter is in middle school. An attorney by training, I run a civil legal aid program at a local nonprofit. Previously I worked in the Public Protection Bureau, Office of the Atty Gen. I believe in civic engagement and value the TM structure. I served on the Bylaw Cmte and the Council on Aging. I would be honored to represent Precinct 7.

  • John B Sullivan

I grew up in Reading and moved back to raise my family. I have served on TM for 3 years and am in my 4th year as a member of the conservation commission. I am running to help make sure the Reading where I am raising my kids is even better than the Reading I grew up in. It is critical that the decisions we make at TM support our town’s present and future, and will move Reading forward for everyone. I support transparency, fiscal responsibility, and equity. I respectfully ask for your vote.
