As a Town Meeting Member, I believe in fiscal responsibility, thoughtful long-term planning, improving sustainability efforts, and creating an inclusive and welcoming community for all residents. I’ve served as a volunteer in local government for 8 years and recognize the value and need of working collaboratively with my fellow neighbors. It is an honor to serve on Town Meeting and represent the interests of Precinct 5 and the entire town.

I have had the pleasure of serving P5 for the past 3 years. I serve as a Select Board member and am a liason to many boards and committees. TM is a very important body and I ask for your vote to continue to serve. We are in a very good financial position and I want the opportunity to keep that standing. Elections matter and your voice matters. Carlo Bacci

I’ve lived in Reading since 1986. I believe in public service; in my work as a lawyer and serving Reading since 1990, including 17 years on the CPDC, 7+ years on the Historical Commission, and serving as a Town Meeting Member since 1995. I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve had in these positions to listen and learn from my residential neighbors and our business community. Reading has a unique character and identity. I believe it’s my responsibility to always work to preserve that.

I have been a Reading resident with my family since 1994 and have served as a Town Meeting member continuously since 2005. I am currently a member of the Recreation Committee and was on the Historical Commission. I believe in the "representation" of Representative Town Meeting, and I am always open to hearing from residents in my precinct. I attend many Finance Committee, Select Board, CPDC, and other meetings to contribute and stay informed of matters that will come before Town Meeting.

I am a 30 year resident of Reading, currently running for my third term as a Town Meeting Member. I have been involved in many organizations, including as a past board member on PTO and Young Women’s League. I believe that an effective Town Meeting Member needs to be able to put taxpayers first when deciding issues that come before us. We must always remember that we are representing everyone in our precinct. I pledge to do that, and would be honored if you choose to vote for me. Thank you.

I am running for Town Meeting re-election because I feel that it is important to participate in town government actively and not just sit on the sidelines.
Originally I became involved to support the schools but over time I have come to value the opportunity to talk to my neighbors and find out what their concerns are, and represent them in Town Meeting. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate and vote in Town Meeting, and I hope to continue to be a member of Town Meeting.

As a Reading resident for two years, and a descendant of longtime residents (my father was raised here, and grandparents lived here), I chose Reading as a place to live because I value the direct involvement of town residents in Town Meeting. I hope to have a positive impact by evaluating ballot measures for fairness and value added to the town with respect to quality of education and public service offerings. I look forward to serving my neighbors in this way with a truly local focus.

My wife Angela Binda and I have lived in Reading for 28 years, raising two boys. I have been a Town Meeting Member, Soccer Coach, Town Election Worker, Cub Scout Den Leader and Boy Scout Committee member, and am currently Town Democratic delegate.
I support smart sustainable growth, improving our infrastructure, providing safety and security to our youngest, oldest, and most vulnerable neighbors, so the investments we have made in our homes and our community will continue to grow.

I moved to Reading in 2013, with my wife, and two dogs. We have a first grader at Joshua Eaton. We love our town and all the services it offers. We spend a lot of time in our town forest and parks. I have been a Town Meeting member for the past 3 years. I am a excited about becoming a green community, a strong advocate for equity and inclusion, interested in improving senior services, and believe in supporting our local businesses in order to create a bustling downtown.

As a longtime Reading resident, I have had wonderful neighbors and enjoyed our outstanding library and other town amenities. My two daughters received excellent educations at Barrows, Parker, and RMHS. I have served on TM trying to make decisions that keep our town welcoming to everyone, with strong educational standards that benefit all our children and allow our older residents to age in place. Please feel free to contact me at dkennedy693@gmail.com. I would appreciate your vote. Thank you!

Having served five years on the Finance Committee, three years on the Select Board, and eight years on Town Meeting representing precinct 5, I would like to continue my service to Reading as a Town Meeting Member. I bring a commitment to deep listening to my public service. As a government lawyer, I also bring a high level of attention to detail and an ability to integrate the feedback of diverse stakeholders into my decision-making. I would appreciate your vote on April 5th!

I have been an active Reading volunteer for 5 years and I love this community! I am an educator at RMHS where my son is also a freshman. I have enjoyed giving back to the community in a number of ways including volunteering as the photographer for the RMHS freshman football team and leading the CATO tour. In 2021, I was appointed to the Human Relations Advisory Committee and now serve as Chairwoman. I am excited to join Town Meeting and ask for your vote on April 5th.

I moved to Reading in 2006. My husband and I have two teenagers, one dog, one cat and a guinea pig.
My volunteerism with the schools has included being a room parent, a budget parent, a PTO co-treasurer, a school council member and co-chair, co-founder of the Joshua Eaton Spelling Bee, as well as many other roles.
My tenure on Town Meeting began in 2017.
You can often find me hiking in the Town Forest with my dog.
I am very invested in responsible growth for our community.

I have been a Town Meeting member since 1980. I have served on the RMLD Board of Commissioners for 35 years and are running for reelection to that position. I bring experience and knowledge. I am in a unique position. I am a former Chair of both the Finance Committee and the Bylaw Committee. I have serve on a Charter update committee. So I have seen Town Meeting matters from many sides. Finally over the past several years I have provided the opening prayer that leads off Town Meeting.

I have lived in Reading since 1978, have raised 4 kids here and was a TMM along with my late husband for 15 years when we lived in precinct 6. I love this town for its schools, the library, the town recreation facilities for kids, the town forest, its increasingly small business oriented downtown and its very wonderful citizens who volunteer to keep making these things better. I’m now in precinct 5 and am asking for your vote

My family has lived on Linden Street for 24 years and I've been on Town Meeting for more than 10 years. Together with other Town Meeting members, I've participated in many recent meetings and motions on improving downtown zoning and parking. I advocate for smart redevelopment, traffic reduction, and neighborhood protection. I seek your vote not only for Town Meeting but also Municipal Light Board re-election so I can work on Town-RMLD collaboration and a cleaner energy future from both posts.

I've owned my home in the tight knit downtown neighborhood of Reading for 28 years. I would like to help ensure that our historic area and our own zoning bylaws are respected by developers going forward. I would love to see Reading be an example to other communities on how to be successful while welcoming change with a nod to the past.

I have lived in Reading since 2004 and served on Town Meeting since 2012. Last year, I moved into Precinct 5 and now live in the Postmark. Development of the downtown area is one of my priorities. I want it to be a friendly, walkable area for the people who live here and for all Reading residents. A new school and a new senior/community center will also require big picture management and a vision of what it means and how it should feel to live in Reading. I can do that. Please vote for me!

The best is last! My name, Nancy Ziemlak, is at very bottom of the list of Precinct 5 candidates for Town Meeting. I want you to know that I support well planned growth for Reading, a safe and welcoming Senior Center, green initiatives, well funded schools and a strong business community. I’m last on the ballot but will be first in supporting Reading as we move forward.
