I live on Bainbridge Rd with my husband and our two children who attend Killam. We love Reading for its strong schools, businesses, green space, and community. As a disability advocate, I have experience advising towns on projects involving the ADA, access, and inclusion, and hope to bring that unique perspective to Town Meeting, particularly for the Killam and Senior Center projects. If elected, I promise to make thoughtful and informed decisions with collaboration and value in mind.

I've lived in Reading for 11 years. I previously served 1 term on Town Meeting and really enjoyed understanding more about how Reading operates. I'm running again because my family is invested in this town, we plan to stay for the long term, and it's important to me to be involved in decisions that will help move Reading forward and maintain its desirability. I’ll bring the perspective of a parent of a young elementary school kid, which is rare on Town Meeting. I hope I can count on your vote!

I’ve been a resident for 35 years. I’m currently on the Conservation Commission, an eye-opening experience about how Reading works. My wife and I have 3 adult daughters, graduates of the Reading Public schools. Now retired, I had a long career culminating in several decades as Engineering VP for an engineering services firm. As a TMM my focus would be to maintain fiscal responsibility while being open to sensible spending where necessary. Please consider me when you cast your vote. Thanks.

My husband Mike and I have lived in Reading since 2018, now with our two-year-old son. As we begin to put down roots here, I want to do my part to contribute to the town that has been so welcoming to us. I am invested in fostering a community where all residents can thrive and feel happy to call Reading home. If elected, I promise to serve with thoughtfulness, open-mindedness, and kindness. Look forward to collaborating with you all!

  • Mark Dockser

Mark Dockser here. My wife Linda and I have lived at 110 Beaver Road for 25 years. I have been very engaged in supporting the residents of Reading serving on Town Meeting, the Finance Committee and now the Select Board. I work hard to understand and act on the issues we face as a community, and I advocate strongly for the interests of Precinct 1. From road repairs to zoning to supporting the budget items that make us a stronger community. I would appreciate your vote to re-elect me. Thanks!

  • Linda Snow Dockser

Since moving here in 1996, I have loved working with others to serve my community. This includes 6 years on Town Meeting & the School Committee; chairing the Human Relations Advisory Committee; hosting METCO Pool Parties & serving on School Councils that educated my 3 children well. I have organized many town/school/family partnerships. Please help me continue to listen, learn, & apply my experience & voice to making decisions that support my neighbors & town.

Town Meeting is democracy in it's purest form. Being a Town Meeting member has allowed me to engage in a form of civic involvement that shapes our community and ensure the wellbeing of our residents and businesses. I have found it is a wonderful way to connect to residents outside of my neighborhood, understand the workings of our municipality, shape our budget, and it is an open secret that it is great fun as well. I hope to continue to serve Precinct One residents as a Town Meeting member.

I moved to Reading 9yrs ago for the schools (current Coolidge parent), convenient location (work in Boston), and green space (rescue dog owner). And now our enviable library and plethora of new small businesses! I’ve previously served on Town Meeting and the Board of Health. I enjoy being involved in the community, ensuring our tax dollars are spent wisely and that Reading maintains its appeal as a safe and welcoming community. Upcoming projects of interest are Killam and the Senior Center.

I've had the privilege to serve on TownMeeting since 2017 participating in the process of local decision-making and governance. I appreciate the thoughtful conversations I've had with my neighbors over the years when they know I serve as their representative for decisions that affect our community. I try to use my perspectives as a parent, homeowner, educator (MedfordPublicSchools), community member (ReadingEducationFoundation; CulturalCouncil) to inform my participation. Thank you for your vote

I am running for Town Meeting to serve my community of Reading, MA. I have lived in town for 10 years and have two children attending Parker and RMHS. I served as a PTO Secretary when my children were at Killam Elementary School and helped bring "Hour of code" to the school. As an engineering professor, I am really interested in the cost savings for the town by ensuring new capital projects use new technologies, e.g. variable refrigerant volume systems. Thank you for your vote.

  • Kevin Leete

I think being involved is important. Town meeting is the most direct form of democratic engagement available, and I've found my time on TM thus far to have been eye opening as it relates to our local officials.

I’m a curious learner, lifelong educator, parent, and small business owner currently working in the nonprofit world. I believe that asking questions and seeking to understand others’ experiences is crucial in responsible decision making, and am committed to building understanding across lines of difference. I believe that Black lives matter; that “they” is both a plural and singular pronoun; and that climate change is real. I wear my seatbelt, floss, write thank you cards, and tip generously.

  • Rebecca Maitland

I feel a great affinity for my hometown of Reading. Growing up here, graduating from RMHS, and volunteering at the Food Pantry: representing Precinct 1 at Town Meeting is another chance to be involved in the life of this town. I am a first-time candidate and excited for the opportunity to serve Reading in a new way.

As a Reading resident for more than 30 years, I am committed to positive change through respectful dialog.

I have served as the president of the Coolidge and RMHS PTOs and the Coolidge Science Olympiad Team parent support group. I was a 5 year board member of the Fall Street Faire Committee and am an active member of the Reading Community Singers for more than 10 years.

It’s been my privilege to serve as a Town Meeting Member since 2002. I respectfully ask for your vote for another term.

Communications by trade and a numbers guy at heart, I have served on Town Meeting for the past 3 years. I enjoy digesting presentations and digging through data to make sure I understand each article; always curious to hear differing viewpoints.

I run the “Around Reading” social media campaign, which profiles small businesses & interesting people through Facebook & Instagram. Our family moved to Reading 7 years ago; we now have two boys at Killam.

I believe you can make an impact and one of the most effective ways is through your local community. Since moving here in 1993 I have chosen to be involved in Reading. Whether it be in PTO at Killam/Coolidge/RMHS, Old South Church committees/teaching and 9 year FinCom member along with Town Meeting member for many years, I enjoy bringing people together to work for a common good. I approach issues in a reasonable, collaborative manner, making sure everyone feels heard and respected.

My wife & I have two daughters whom I coached in sports. Now that they’re grown, I’m more involved in town. I’m a member of the Finance Committee & a liaison to the School Committee. We’ve lived in Reading 30+ years & our daughters went through our schools grades K-12. My career is in business – I owned an accounting firm for 20 years. I have strong accounting experience & enjoy being on FinCom. Being a Town Meeting member will aid me on FinCom & help improve town services for precinct 1.
